This webinar will present a case study review of the social and economic impacts of a local community flooding incident that occurred in Hastings in late 2023.
The Case Study Review will be a “boots on the ground” perspective from the point of the first responders to the flooding incident and look at how they managed to organize and plan the remediation from the local flooding incident and deal with and manage the aftermath.
It will also focus on the social impact the flooding had on the local community and the recovery programme.
Finally, we consider the economic impact in terms of the disruption, repair and reinstatement costs and the wider total carbon usage and carbon footprint impact the flooding incident had on the area.
