How we work: 

• As soon as the emergency services have safely extinguished the fire, investigated the cause, and declared the property safe to enter, DMS will carry out an immediate Risk Assessment due to the many hazards that are likely to be present.
•  DMS will then carry out a triage to determine the extent of the damage to both property and contents and take action to prevent further damage from occurring.
• After carefully stripping out and disposing of any affected materials, the fire damage restoration process begins with the thorough cleaning and decontamination of smoke, dust, and soot residues from all of the affected contents, including carpets, rugs, furniture, etc.
• Contents items are either restored (Cleaned, wrapped, packed, and stored) or if beyond economic restoration (photographed and listed) made ready for disposal).
• Once the property is cleared of contents items, the cleaning and decontamination of the building elements can begin. All areas will undergo full environmental cleaning to remove all smoke and soot residues and treat and deal with any areas of secondary damage such as mould damage that may have arisen as a result of extinguishing the fire or damage caused to water services during the fire.
• Using specialist equipment, our decontamination methods include Type- H vacuuming, Installation of Air Purification Systems to eliminate PIC's, pressure washing, laundry and dry cleaning of smoke-affected clothing, deodorant Thermal Fogging and Ozone Smoke Odour removal. 
• Providing storage facilities for contents items, until such time they can be returned to the property.
